Dr. Brooke McAdam was born and raised in the Rochester area and has been working as a pediatric physical therapist in her home community for over 13 years. She has practiced in a variety of clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, the early intervention/CPSE systems, and school-based programs.
She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Nazareth University in 2011 and is still involved with their physical therapy program. In May 2014 she received the GOLD (graduate of the last decade) award from Nazareth University. This achievement honored her efforts of serving her community and advocating for the children that she worked with to get the necessary equipment that they needed to achieve their functional goals. Brooke is also currently actively involved in research with the neuromuscular department at the University of Rochester.
Brooke’s passion is helping children to maximize their gross motor abilities to best function at home and in the community. She specializes in working with the early childhood population, increasing independence with mobility, and assessing and treating gait deviations. Brooke is well versed in seeing children with complex orthopedic, neurological, and genetic conditions. She has a certification in Kinesio taping and is proficient with many functional taping techniques to assist with posture, range of motion, and enhancement of movement patterns.
Aside from her professional life, Brooke enjoys skiing, playing soccer, photography, and spending time with her husband Corey, and their 3 children – Grady, Brenna, and Kira.
Mission
Our mission is to nurture and support each child’s growth and development through compassionate, individualized physical therapy. We are dedicated to providing a warm, engaging environment where children can achieve their full potential, overcome physical challenges, and build confidence in their abilities. By working closely with families and employing evidence-based practices, we strive to make every step of our therapy journey a positive and empowering experience for both children and their caregivers!
Vision
Our vision is to provide comprehensive pediatric physical therapy services, while creating a supportive, innovative, and child-centered experience. We aspire to create a community where every child can thrive, developing the skills and strength they need to flourish in all aspects of their lives!
Collaboration
We value a collaborative approach to care with emphasis on teamwork and open communication between all parties involved in a child's care. This is family-centered, prioritizing the family's insights and needs, and involving caregivers in decision making and goal setting. In this type of approach all professionals and caregivers work together to address the child's needs holistically. We will work together so that interventions are cohesive and focused on the same outcomes. We aim to create a supportive network around the child, enhancing the effectiveness of therapy and fostering a more inclusive and responsive care environment.
