No. In New York State a referral is not needed to receive a physical therapy evaluation or to begin services. Physical therapists in New York can evaluate and treat a patient for 30 days or 10 visits, whichever comes first, without a referral. If services are expected to extend past this timeframe, we can reach out to your child’s primary care provider and obtain a referral for you.
Our clinic is not in network with any insurance companies at this time. Our goal is to help your child achieve their goals without limitations set by insurance providers. As an out-of-network provider there are no requirements to qualify for therapy, waitlists, prior authorizations, or session caps. All costs are known upfront, and your child will be provided quality care in a timely fashion.
Upon request, we can provide a superbill after each session has been completed. A superbill is a document that serves as a detailed invoice for services rendered by a healthcare provider. If you wish to submit superbills for potential reimbursement through your insurance, you may want to reach out to the insurance company directly to inquire about potential reimbursement based on your specific plan benefits.
Payment is due at the time of service. Credit card, debit card, cash, or HSA/FSA cards are accepted.
What is the cost of services?
Cost of services vary based on need and what the child is seeking care for. At this time our pricing is as follows for outpatient clinic appointments:
1. Initial phone consultations: Free!
2. In person new patient evaluations: $185.00 for a full comprehensive evaluation.
3. Follow up treatment visits: $65-105, depending on duration.
4. Developmental screenings: $65.
*If cost is a barrier to therapy, please reach out to see how we can work with you. We do not want this to be a reason that your child is unable to receive care.
We work with children of all ages! We specialize in working with the early childhood population, increasing independence with mobility, and assessing and treating gait deviations, but can provide physical therapy to children ages birth to 18.
We offer free initial phone consultations, along with clinic based individual pediatric physical therapy evaluations and treatments. We also provide developmental screenings, and gait assessments.
If your 3-5 year old child qualifies for physical therapy services through the Preschool Special Education program with their school district we can provide this service for children in Monroe or Ontario counties. These sessions are typically provided at home, school, or daycare, but can also be done at our facility based on the committee recommendations, and what is best for your child. For more information on this program you can visit this page if you are in Ontario county, or this page if you are in Monroe County.
Each child’s course of therapy is unique to their specific needs. After the initial appointment we will develop a plan of care for your child and will discuss recommendations for frequency and duration for treatment.
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is appreciated. Supportive sneakers are preferred, if possible, for children that are standing or walking.
